Carson Mitchell ('27, IL) was dominant on the mound, working 80-83 mph and touching 84 on the fastball. The pitch was highly effective, showing heavy run while being located to all four quadrants, consistently forcing uncomfortable swings. He mixed in a sharp 12-6 curveball at 69-72 mph with depth and late break, keeping hitters off balance. Operated from a fluid, repeatable over-the-top arm slot.
