We had some of the guys throw live bullpens last Friday (2/6). They were given a 3out/15 pitch cap, and the only goal was to execute high level pitches in high level competition, and overall we think the boys did great. Below is a thread of some of our dudes! Give it a 👀 (1/-)
Uncommitted 2027 @Luke_Haley13 bullpen from this week as he preps for camps. Showing his quality 4 pitch mix for Ks (FB/CT/SL/CH). FB has been up to 91. Athletic 6’2” 195LB frame.

At MWPD, we’ve been using an equation that measures pitch execution. Using the Tom Tango zone, we give pitch and location, and award points based on proximity to the intended spot. Then we feed it into an equation which creates a score (avg is about 4.0) 🧵 (1/3)
Uncommitted 2027 @eli_shoppell with an excellent pen today as he preps for upcoming camps. 13/14 pitches were executed.
Working sim batters & executing his entire 4 pitch mix, which is highlighted by an upper 8s fastball (up to 90) & CH touching negative IVB.

A high level level sequence of adjustments from Norwell Sophomore @Noah_Clark28
Here’s a 3 pitch series of Noah adjusting pitch to pitch. Athletic young throwers can make adjustments that work in the short term, but negatively impact their throw over the long term.
A thread 🧵
Let it be known that the second rep in this video is extremely different than the 3rd rep, but they have nearly the same result. And this is a great example of how athletic throwers can sometimes compensate in ways that are detrimental to their long-term.
Blaine has improved immensely over the years through hard work and endless workshopping. There’s no one out there that wouldn’t grow from a lesson with him.
