A new study by @NationalCorn found:
-U.S. corn seed prices averaged 68% higher than Brazil’s
-Insecticide prices averaged 87% higher
-Some fungicides cost more than double what Brazilian farmers paid
-Many herbicide comparisons also approached double Brazilian price levels
For NCGA President Jed Bower, an Ohio farmer, the findings confirm concerns many growers have held for years: “It sure doesn’t look like we’re the low-cost producer anymore,” Bower says. “The study shows the American farmer is really paying for all the innovation and research for the rest of the world to take advantage of.”

@SecRollins I don’t know where you got the 80% mark but we (the farmers) absolutely did not. And the prices are not even close to reasonable. Been a supporter of this admin for a long time but let’s stop with this bullshit you are spewing.
Let’s Talk Government Subsidies
Fossil Fuel Subsidies -Roughly $754 Billion Annually
Agriculture Commodity Subsidies 2024-$9.3 Billion
Renewable Energy Subsidies 2024-
$31.4 Billion
Boeing Subsidies 2024-$15.5 Billion
Intel Subsidies 2024-$8.4 Billion
I could go on with the list….
I just want to point out we went from Iran launching ballistic missiles at a United states airbase to securing a full ceasefire deal in under six hours. That’s insane
