Lindsay, Magi and Annabelle spent a very worthwhile morning meeting with staff at Raigmore Hospital. As usual they were given a warm welcome, by Dani, Raigmore's Bereavement Link Midwife.
The Held In Our Hearts team are delighted to announce that we are one of several Scottish groups and charities sharing in over £23 million from @TNLComFundScot.
Throughout the next week we will be sharing stories from some of our bereaved parents and families.
We hope that by sharing the stories, the voices of other bereaved parents, will perhaps help guide you a little during your own grief.
Jen, Magi and Lindsay enjoyed a great two days at the Black Isle Show this week. They spoke to lots of families who gladly shared their stories of their sons, daughters, nieces and nephews. It's always a privilege to hear someone's story no matter how much time has passed.
An absolute pleasure to chat to @heldinourhearts - just as they got an award for the best decorated stall.
I was delighted to hear what a difference the @scotgov funding has made to the work they do in the Highlands ❤️
Always such a rewarding and valuable day spending time with the team from Held in Our Hearts at Raigmore Maternity and Neonatall Unit. We appreciate all you do to support local families and support our staff in NHSHighland. Thank you. @IslaBarton1@NHSHighland@heldinourhearts
Today is National Bereaved Parents Day, today we would like to acknowledge all the parents within our community who live each day without one, some or all of their precious children.
With the introduction of our Hospital to Home service to three new health boards; NHS Highland, NHS Fife and NHS Forth Valley, whilst continuing our support within NHS Lothian, the majority of our families receiving peer support will now likely be several weeks
The Held In Our Hearts team are now officially ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) qualified.
We feel equipped to manage conversations about suicide and intervene and support anyone who is considering ending their life. Thank you Cat and Pauline@Living_Works
An emotional, but lovely morning at the unveiling of the beautiful 'Heather Suite' within the maternity department at Raigmore Hospital. It was clear to see all the hard work that has gone in to creating this comforting space for bereaved families. @NHSHighland
As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, we want to highlight a fantastic free resource we have available for siblings thanks to the outstanding fundraising by Jamie Cameron and her family in memory of precious Lyle.
