๐ข Final post to say I will no longer be using this platform. I do not condone the agenda and principles of 'X'.
I will use LinkedIn to share views and news. Do connect with me there if you'd like to stay in touch. I will not be deleting my profile as to not erase my voice. ๐ข
A tweet to celebrate my mother's retirement this week ๐ after over 40 years of paid service, it's time to look after herself for once.
The woman who took a gap year at 18 to volunteer as a live in carer for @ageuk. You are one in a million with a beautiful heart. Now chill!!

Fans of proteins and peptides, join for the next PPSG seminar! I will be talking about my work in @lwalport lab, developing cyclic peptide tools for challenging protein targets using mRNA display ๐งฌ
Also to ensure patients and staff are appropriately safeguarded and protected from abusive staff, systematic abuse, and retraumatising practises.
Speaking up is good and needs to be encouraged, but it can't fall on deaf ears.
(2/2) We're proud to receive this recognition but understand that many areas still need to improve, and we still have a lot of work to do to ensure that our staff feel safe to speak up and understand how they can impact change.

My tears are glitter.
"Stare you may
For all you will find
Is that I'm not sick
I feel"
(^Excerpt from my poem: I'm not sick)
Now time for my next poem entitled my tears are glitter โจ๏ธ
When does electioneering become a threat to public health?
Depression and anxiety make an easy target for Stride because he is playing off existing prejudices that sufferers face.
It is damaging.
My piece for @guardianopinion on #PiP and mental health. https://t.co/EZhhN5OMam
It's been an utterly brutal few weeks on Twitter for bad news re mental health services. A few things:
- duck out of activism when you need too
- the Mad community believes in you and wants you here alive and present.
- when things are really bad, we organise better and bigger
@Drew_Hyndman Maybe do a podcast on how traumatic PiP experience is especially for those with mental health/chronic illness? It worsens symptoms and then you get refused. And no itโs not enough.
PIP has nothing to do with employment.
PIP is for moderate to severe disability and it is v difficult to qualify for.
It is not something one can blag. I research this.
Sunak's idea people can go off PIP with treatment is wild and dangerous. It is disability denial,no less.
Happy Earth Day ๐
How will you appreciate our planet today?
(Found the flower on the pavement, my dad always told me I wasn't allowed to pull flowers from their leaves!)
It's World Poetry Day
And I made my debut
Stood up on a stage and said a few
Words, that for me carry meaning
Sentiment and swirls in my head
Form sentences for healing.
A poem about poetry, crikey that's meta!
Thanks to those who listened and shared tonight. Inspired.
Spring in the City!
Living in a very urban environment can make it harder to connect with nature. I miss seeing front gardens, local parks and wild flowers in big open spaces!
This flamingo pink magnolia standing proudly made me smile ๐ #mindfulness#nature
I can relate so much to the playing down of the loss for not wanting to make a scene or risk my grief/loss being easily dismissed by the other person, allbeit most of the time not intentionally.
Saw All of Us Strangers last night at the cinema. Wow. How affirming and validating for the enduring grief us adults bereaved as children live with. The line that got me.
"It's okay, it happened a long time ago"
"Yeah, I don't think that matters."
