6:04 pm Current power outage for residents south of 2300 South. Crews have found the cause and are working to restore power. Estimated time to restoration is approximately 45 min to 1 hour. Cause was a balloon that floated into the line damaging some equipment on that pole.
Crews were dispatched to perform emergency switching between circuits to avoid an overload. The Sky Ridge area may have noticed a brief blink while we completed our work. It was only around 20-30 seconds, but allowed us to balance the increasing load. We appreciate your patience!
Our power crew was just notified of an outage in the Lava Bluff area. We have crews on their way to investigate and we will update when we know more information.
Our power crews were made aware of and are working on an outage on the western end of the valley. It is estimated that the time of restoration will only be about 15 minutes (2:10 pm) for that affected area.

We are aware of an outage covering a large area of Hurricane. The outage is caused by Rocky Mountain Power's system. Our crews have been dispatched to work on an alternate power feed. An update will be provided as we have an idea of a time frame.
Update 10:26 am: We have reconfigured lines and restored service to all of the Hurricane City Power circuits that were down. As far as we know, the Rocky Mountain Power outage still exists, but Hurricane City Power load is now being fed back to our normal feed.

Residents in Zion Vista subdivision are still without power. Crews are working to replace the power line that was damaged when a contractor bored into it. There is potential that it may take a few hours to get service restored. We are working diligently to get it back ASAP!!
