Today, many @IrishResearch and @scienceirel PhD researchers at @MaynoothUni received a stipend that does not reflect the promised increase to €22k/annum from January. 🚫💶

We have had 0 communication from @MU_Research. Completely unacceptable!

We will be following up on this issue to ensure PhD researchers in Maynooth receive their promised increases, and will continue to fight for a radically fairer system of postgrad research in Ireland. ✊

This is already appalling without mentioning that the promised increase only affects a small subset of PhD researchers in Ireland, is still below a living wage, and falls short of a national review recommendation last year of €25k/annum.
