I scream for ice cream 🍨 (well gelato actually!)

We pretty much sold out Anacapri of all their gelato flavours before walking through the shops, doing chocolate tastings and gift shopping!

We then emerged to the most beautiful viewpoint which looks over the whole island! 🏔️☁️

Smooth (ish) sailing this morning - we are about 10 minutes out from Capri with lots of students up and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery and feeling the wind in their hair ⛴️ 🌬️

Blustery morning here in Sorrento, but we’re about to take to the sea to sail over to the beautiful island of Capri for a day of sightseeing, pasta and gift shopping!

Saying goodbye to Amalfi in style 😎

Sunglasses and suncream on as the temps hit 23C🌡️

40 minute boat road to Salerno commences, lots of happy faces enjoying the views as we traverse the Gulf of Salerno 🛥️

Sitting on the stairs of the famous Amalfi Cathedral after some time exploring, buying gifts (and gelato) and a lovely three course lunch! 🍝

Now it’s time to take a boat trip to Salerno, taking in the sights of the beautiful coastline as we go!

Freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice on offer for the students and many beautiful photos taken 🍊🍋

As our guide Vincenzo puts it, we begin our day on the ‘Mama Mia’ road of Italy 💃🏻

Today, we are driving to Amalfi, stopping off at some beautiful towns on the way before a boat trip to Salerno ☀️

Be prepared for lots of photos of this beautiful scenery today! 🏔️

Adventures in the city walls! We had an amazing time exploring the ruins of Pompeii and taking in the rich culture!🇮🇹

Lots of tired faces today and while a couple stopped Sorento for an explore, many slept on the bus home (including Mr Fisher hence the late tweet! 😬)

Beginning our guided tour of Pompeii with our guide Carmella and the sun has turned up for us ☀️

Walking up into the clouds was a surreal experience ☁️

A very eerie feeling as we all hiked up Mount Vesuvius! Lots of dense cloud shrouding the crater but still an amazing experience getting to hold volcanic rock, smell the sulphur and see old Lava flows!

Off now to Pompeii!

Students and staff are getting some much deserved relaxation time in before dinner and tomorrow’s adventures!

Everyone had an amazing time walking round Herculaneum!

This was followed by an amazing lunch of Neapolitan pizza (in Mr Fisher’s top 5 pizzas!) and Tiramisu!

Lots of tired faces now heading for the hotel before we’re on to Vesuvius and Pompeii tomorrow!

London Gatwick 🇬🇧 ✈️ Naples 🇮🇹

Hurst Geography have landed in Naples… and apparently we forgot the Italian sun in Gatwick!

We are straight off to Herculaneum, where students will get to explore an amazingly preserved Roman city destroyed by the 76AD Vesuvius eruption!
