@paw_mularczyk@PolishOurPrices For instance, when looking at regional economic realities, Midnight Flies wayy overcharges in Euro, Bristish Pound, Norwegian Krone and others zones (=you're 100% losing buyers) and undercharges in Australian and NZ dollar (=you're 100% losing revenues) ;)
@paw_mularczyk@PolishOurPrices Poland is definitely the main victim of Steam regional pricing, but almost every country except the US, Australia, and Switzerland gets hurt too. We built a (free, of course) tool to help devs / publishers fix this

@RESURGENTGames Props for taking the time to do regional pricing! Buuut, if we look at regional economic realities:
- you’re still overcharging in a lot of places (Europe, China, Japan, I'll stop here) = you're losing buyers
- undercharging in others (Australia, Switzerland) = you're losing $
@ninguart@Colin_d_m @BakingPeter @chi_urbanist@Colin_d_m you should do regional pricing :) Here's a tool: https://t.co/y8bXIfzgzT
Free, way better than using Steam recos, we wrote an article explaining the methodology (link at the top of the tool if you're curious). You're losing sales in countries outside US by not doing it
@luchiesp@kazkodaka@kazkodaka if you want to set better regional Steam prices (and lose fewer sales outside the US), try this tool https://t.co/y8bXIfzgzT
(+ there’s a link to the article explaining the methodology if you're curious! At least better than just using Steam’s default recos haha)
I love this analytical take on video game categorization from Antoine Mayerowitz and Julie Belzanne:

Instead of trying to vibe-intuit the definition of an "indie" game, the authors analyzed the data from the perspective of game size and credits length
1st post here 🪓 Working on revealing publisher deals' standards right now - using Steam API & private data 🕵️
What to expect next: a model to estimate any game's ROI, a tool to discover the player persona of a game according to genre, budget, solo/multi, location
Stay tuned👀
