☕️: Morning read
Some grade A sleuthing by @thorn_john concerning a new photo that has surfaced of eccentric pitching great Rube Waddell.

@onemillioncubs Have two sides of the family to spend time with so we usually do one around noon then the other in the evening... not complaining... haha!
@onemillioncubs On the other hand if you’re using the word “vintage” as a term of worth you could probably draw a line around the time just before the “junk era” started.
@onemillioncubs I feel like it really depends on how old you are.
I imagine you’re probably in your late 30’s early 40’s?... so am I and I’d concur with you. I feel like early 70’s would be my cutoff as well.
Someone who is 18 early 20’s would problem see vintage being somewhere in the 80’s
@flickavic ...Big fan of the Braves especially Acuna & Freeman. Love the Yankees with Judge, Voit, Torres etc. it pains me to say with the exception of Braun I’d probably watch a Brewers game or two, love Yelich. Then of course Trout and what Ohtani is doing or trying to do is exciting...
@flickavic Cubs fan here... I don’t know how to describe it, maybe I’ve matured as a fan. I’ve found that there are multiple other players/teams I’ll root for and watch. I’m a Cubs fan first but I’m a bigger baseball fan I guess you could say...
I’ve had several people ask about the cheapest way to ship a lot of cards. The large flat rate gaming box is the best method and here are the details... https://t.co/bHzBdmzz0L
The artistry and overall eye appeal of the ‘56 set is undeniable. The same can be said about most of the early card sets, Topps & Bowman alike. Anyone out there have any vintage sets they’re currently building? Would love to hear about them and maybe some stories surrounding why.
@flickavic@BenFros31636333 Leaf Flash are definitely sharp looking cards! Yeah, it would be cool to have the team logo but all that matters is if you like it! Personally I love it!
So it’s been a while, life happens. I’m looking to get into some Woodworking projects soon but in the meantime check out Husk & Timber Trading Co on eBay for some vintage/modern goods! Link in the bio!
