I’d like to announce that I’ve retained Terry Johnson as an assistant coach on our men’s basketball staff at Houston Christian University.

Coach Johnson has developed a good rapport around campus and comes highly recommended from our administration and other coaches around the country.

He comes from basketball lineage as the son of former Nevada, Stanford, LSU, and TCU head coach Trent Johnson. Most impressive, Terry has forged his own career path working his way through the coaching ranks having been an assistant at the NCAA D3, NCAA D2, and NCAA D1 levels.

Over the past week after spending many hours with Coach Johnson it was evident that he is hard working, humble, honest, and knowledgeable. I had to make him leave the office at 10:00 PM multiple nights last week. We will work on the work-life balance stuff!

I am pleased to welcome @CoachTJohnson_ as a continued member of the HCU men’s basketball coaching staff.
