Why the hell is an exiting president taking such enormous gambles with his nation's safety and global safety?
This question is especially important when the action seems completely at odds with the stance of the incoming president.
Do they want World War III before January?
I am leaving the UK.
Four reasons:
1. Governed by morons.
2. Likely irreversible demographic decline.
3. Appalling value for money.
4. Expedite financial independence.
I hope my once great country can rediscover its soul (and its balls), but I won't be riding the decline.
Inflation is caused by the Federal government spending more than it earns, because they just print more money to make up the difference.
To solve inflation, reduce wasteful government spending. Your tax dollars should be spent well, not poorly.
A government hellbent on digital tyranny will not miss a good opportunity to clamour support and bring forward digital tyranny.
It looks like the recent riots will mark an important point on this course for the UK.
The S&P 500 is up 18% over the last year and down just 3% in the month. Perhaps a bit premature to call this a "crash".
Nonetheless, I would not complain.
As many have warned….the stock market crash has arrived. Losses are substantial.
Rich dad taught his son and me when markets are crashing is the time the rich get richer….buying assets at bargain basement orices.
Markets are crashing. Great news. Asset markets are having a sale. This is your turn to get richer.
Silver continues to look a like a very good medium-term play.
In a nutshell: Lagging gold, supply deficit, surging technological demand, and an enormous sovereign debt crisis globally that will have to be addressed through longer-term inflation.
Milei: "This government has reduced the size of the public sector by 30%. It's the biggest fiscal reduction in history".
An exciting and intriguing few years ahead for Argentina. I hope the west is watching closely.
Javier Milei, en La Rural: "Este Gobierno ha hecho una reducción del 30% del tamaño del sector público. Es el ajuste fiscal más grande de la humanidad". https://t.co/ojlWbXHMux
Sooner or later, there will be a mass cleansing of bullshit jobs in large corporations, way beyond the scale of headcount cuts seen in the last couple of years.
This process can only be deferred for so long. It's for societal and economic good.
Microsoft says meeting time has TRIPLED since 2020: typical workers are spending 57% of their time communicating [meetings, calls] with others: 'Today, knowledge work is, quantitatively speaking, less about creating new things than it is about talking about those things.’
The European Commission offered 𝕏 an illegal secret deal: if we quietly censored speech without telling anyone, they would not fine us.
The other platforms accepted that deal.
𝕏 did not.
This last humiliation parade seals the deal. The Democrats will sweep in a late contrast candidate to contest the presidency against Trump. This was perhaps always the plan.
With the uniparty baton change now complete, the UK will be moving towards its CBDC launch in the second half of this decade.
One can assume digital ID (in some form) is a prerequisite, so today's "rejection" from Labour seems rather irrelevant.

An inflation update: in the past I've focused on a measure that excludes lagging shelter and used cars as well as food and energy. Just to note that it adds to the evidence that inflation has been largely defeated
UK basic wage growth of 7.2% announced this morning is very bad news.
The Bank of England has been an absolute disaster. Now a serious wage-price spiral driven by acting too late and way too little.
Real inflation remains above 13%.
Higher for longer.
