One of the most unusual recruiting situations I’ve encountered in my 25 years in this business.
@__gregmartin
Greg Martin proved himself night after night—whether facing JUCOs or top prep programs—he consistently showed he could score from deep or off the bounce, never forced shots, never over-dribbled, and brought toughness as a rebounding guard who played solid defense.
We marketed him everywhere—to coaches at every level—and kept hearing:
“We love his shooting, but we’re waiting…”
“We’re focused on the portal right now…”
Even JUCOs wanted us to take offers far below what he was truly worth.
But here’s the reality: talent + character + relationships = opportunity.
Shoutout to his uncle PJ, who’s also our lead skill trainer, for staying in the trenches with us to make this happen. Without his persistence and belief in Greg, this deal might not have come together.
To coaches and players reading this:
This is the power of real relationships. Because Greg had them, and we had them, he’s now headed to a great situation—a program that sees his value.
Mark my words:
👉 Greg Martin is the steal of the summer.
We’re excited to watch him shine. 💯

Whether you’re playing in an AAU tournament, watching an AAU tournament, or watching Rod Wave Elite...
Leave places better than you find them.
DO BETTER.
531 and Counting…
Today, I had the honor of watching the 531st player that I’ve personally coached sign their college paperwork. Let that sink in—not athletes we’ve helped through outside recruiting services or collaborations, but young men I’ve had the privilege to coach directly.
This isn’t a moment of self-praise. It’s a moment of deep gratitude. I’m thankful for every relationship, every opportunity, and every door God has opened throughout the years that’s allowed me to be a small part of these young men’s journeys.
This has never been about trophies, games, fame, or money. It’s always been about impact—about asking the question: Whose life can we help change today? That’s what drives me, and it always will.
Even as my role has shifted over the years, my excitement hasn’t faded. I still feel the same joy seeing a kid sign today as I did over two decades ago when we helped our first one.
To the next generation of coaches:
Stay connected. Build genuine relationships. When you’re tired, when the season is long, when the grind feels heavy—remember that it’s the relationships that sustain you and create lasting change.
Celebrate others. Support your peers. Be happy for someone else’s success, even when it’s not your own. One of our greatest strengths has been uplifting other programs and referring their kids to college coaches. There’s never a reason to hate—only to help.
We’re in this for the right reason. Always have been. Always will be.
#GODSWORK
Shane is a kid I’ve watched grind for the past 3 years just putting his head down and WORKING. His growth has been an incredible display of that work! Shane is now a confident, athletic guard who can flat-out shoot. He loves the game and just wants a shot to prove he can play!
