What Is the Blockchain Trilemma?
The blockchain trilemma is a concept coined by Vitalik Buterin that proposes a set of three main issues — decentralization, security and scalability — that developers encounter when building blockchains, forcing them to ultimately sacrifice one "aspect" for as a trade-off to accommodate the other two.

It is a widely held belief that decentralized networks can only provide two of three benefits at any given time concerning decentralization, security, and scalability.

In short, Satoshi's concept was revolutionary. But it was not perfect. This is exactly what #Vitalik $Vitalik is talking about above.

Dozens of networks have emerged to solve this problem or to continue with 2 out of 3. Some of them were created just to solve the problem with ethereum and have reached market capitalizations in the billions of dollars.

Let's not forget to mention Pyrin;

#Nakamoto proposed a decentralized approach to transactions using ledgers, a network, Merkle roots and trees, timestamps, incentives, cryptography and a consensus mechanism.

Satoshi Nakamoto based all his ideas on decentralization because he saw the centralized monopolized currencies of existing countries and how central authority impoverished the people. Therefore, decentralization is important for this technology that Satoshi dreamed of.

This is why POW technology is much more important than POS. (Some people will say here that transaction speeds will be higher at POS and this is important. That may be true. But the priority of what Satoshi dreams of is decentralization. By combining blockDAG technology with POW, Kaspa has achieved a transaction speed of 1 block per second (the goal is 100 blocks per second), which means a network with high decentralization, scalability, security and speed. This is why Kaspa has now reached a market capitalization of billions of dollars.

Why will it revolutionize the industry?

*Highly parallelizable across any number of threads and SIMD lanes, because it's a Merkle tree on the inside.
*Capable of verified streaming and incremental updates, again because it's a Merkle tree.
*A PRF, MAC, KDF, and XOF, as well as a regular hash.
*One algorithm with no variants, which is fast on x86-64 and also on smaller architectures.
*The chart below is an example benchmark of 16 KiB inputs on a Cascade Lake-SP 8275CL server CPU from 2019. For more detailed benchmarks, see the BLAKE3 paper.

Kaspa uses SHA-256. This is where Pyrin makes a big difference.
