@PitNeptune@Protodude I doubt they'll show off all of the robot masters at once. I can see them revealing more of the stage they showed off during the announcement, only to see the boss at the end with their serial code.
@Romy_Arths Having the lore in the games themselves works for Legends, Battle Network, and Starforce because it's a part of the gameplay.
Some games in the series have unskippable cutscenes. If you're going to make the audience sit there, you might as well add the lore while you're at it.
@Romy_Arths The series wouldn't feel the same without it.
To be honest, I like overanalyzing character profiles for what the robot masters would be like in mundane situations, but more lore and therefore cutscenes in the classic games themselves would distract from what I like about them.
@Protodude Battle Network Legacy Collection sold well, so they might have long-term plans for the subseries other than merchendise. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if one of the other projects in the works for the franchise's 40th anniversary is Battle Network related.
@charthedumbass@MrL_Paragraph@Corvinelle Sorry about that, I thought you meant in general. That's the Splash Woman song? She might rap at kareoke for the love of the game.
@charthedumbass@MrL_Paragraph@Corvinelle Wow, really? That's amazing, I didn't even know about that album, the Top Man cover was a good choicecover. It's one of my favorite Megas songs, Spark Man's is great too.
I know you probably mean for the compositions, but Flash in the Dark would make for a great Megas cover.
@charthedumbass@MrL_Paragraph@Corvinelle By the kareoke crew, I meant Guts Man, Splash Woman, and Shade Man. I was wondering about Shade Man until I realized that he has a Megas song. I recall Dr. Light liking kareoke, and has one by KazeRyve.
@charthedumbass@MrL_Paragraph@Corvinelle I thought the Megas fell under fanmade, it's also endorsed?
There's another Heat Man rap cover besides the segment in that Mega Man 2 rap by a duo whose name I forgot?
Splash Woman having her own kareoke song works. The entire kareoke crew has something.
@GrassTurner They should put on a stage show, Shade Man's horrendous singing voice could work for comedy.
Would Bounce Man join, though? He wasn't originally made for it, stolen somewhere else, and Boing Boing Park is only shown to be a full on theme park in Timelines #0.
@Corvinelle Hear me out, it should be a Legends spinoff. Legends uses aspects of the series' past as a part of its in-universe pop culture, and it's a semi lore-compliant excuse to include the entire robot timeline. Vocal Freesia and Abandoned Memory are my top picks for this pitch.
@charthedumbass@MrL_Paragraph@Corvinelle All of those have official vocal versions? I'm laughing at this, why would they officially endorse whatever Hyadin's Heat Man cover is?
I'd like to hear the vocal Central Highway, that might be the best hair metal song ever. Splash Blue kareoke is begging for a comic reference.
Here comes an order of a muffin and some....was that supposed to be iced coffee? Too bad, I guess. Heat Man only serves things warm or hot.
Air Man now wishes that he'd asked one of the other lines for a robot with a complete set of hands. At least the cup's not melting (yet).
