@revenant_MMXX I quit God of War for this exact reason. I chose hard mode, tutorial skeleton kills me in 2 hits while he is a damage sponge. Die a few times then get passed him to see "Press X to jump" there's no chance of failing and you can't control the jump.
Shit game design is everywhere.
