QUADHASH 홀더 한 분이 약 1,000만원 가량의 QUADHASH NFT를 해커에게 탈취당했다고 제보 했고, 미리 구현해둔 smart contract 덕분에 상당부분 되찾을 길이 생겼다.

NFT를 이루고 있는 미디어는 대부분 AWS 등에 올라갑니다. 결국 아마존 내려가면 내 NFT 그림은 못 보게 되는 겁니다. 태생이 이런데 이 상황에서 철학적 탈중앙화를 외치는 것은 다소 현실성이 없어 보입니다.

IPFS에 올리면 되는거 아니냐고 물을 수 있는데. IPFS도 탈중앙화가 아닌, 중앙화를 통해 문제 해결하는 경우가 많습니다. IPFS가 분산저장 시스템이라고 하면 동의 하겠지만. 탈중앙화냐고 하면 생각의 여지가 많죠.

현실이 이런데, 오늘처럼 홀더가 천만 원의 NFT 자산을 해킹당한 상황에서 “그건 너의 기술적 실수니까 상황을 감수하고 벌을 받아 마땅하다. 우린 탈중앙화니까.”라고 하는건 너무 가혹하지 않을까요.

이 부분은 NFT를 이용해 비즈니스를 하는 기업이나, 블럭체인 생태계를 만드는 재단이나, 직접 참여하는 홀더들 모두 건전한 토론을 통해 이야기해 봄 직합니다.

NFT든 FT든 해킹이 발행하면, 해커를 제외한 다수가 피해를 받습니다. 그래서 거래소는 중앙화된 방식으로 거래를 제한하고, NFT 거래소의 경우 Transfer가 일어난 상황에서 3시간 이내 거래를 모두 막기도 합니다.

우리 QUADHASH팀도 중앙화된 방식으로 홀더들의 자산을 지켜보려고 합니다. 이 방식도 문제점이 있을 테지만, 우리 다음에 따라오는 팀은 이 방식을 발판으로 한발 더 나아갈것이라 생각합니다. 그렇게 이어진 시도 끝에 언젠간 정답에 가까워질 테니, 이런 다양한 시도가 블럭체인에서 더더욱 많아졌으면 좋겠습니다.
