A mother of two just became the first mom to be crowned Miss USA.
Miss Virginia Justus Kelley, 31, takes the 2026 crown, becoming the first mother, first married woman, and first woman in her 30s to win the pageant.
Kelley calls the history-making victory "a huge honor" and says she views being the first as a responsibility.
And she doesn't expect the milestone to stop with her: She says she "won't be the last."
Well, the past year flew by - today is my 61st Birthday and I’ve spent most of the year reflecting and looking backwards. One of the strange and emotional things about getting older is realising that my mother only ever knew me up to the age of 22. She never met the 30-year-old me, the 40, the 50, the 60, or me now.
I’ve felt my mother threaded through so much of what I’ve been doing this year with the Little Miss Twain album... Sometimes I have to stop and think about how completely unbelievable all of this would have sounded to that little girl and to my mother! My dream at the time was to be able to busk in the streets of Toronto, I didn’t imagine something bigger, that seemed such a leap from where I was. Moving forward and now looking ahead I plan to be kind to myself and others. It’s what the world needs now. I want to enjoy these moments for exactly what they are and do as many new things as I can. There are still so many things I dream of I would need another 500 years to get them all done. I want to face the things that scare me and enjoy the things that please me.
So cheers everyone to appreciating the path behind you and the one infront of you equally. Please take a moment to listen to my album Little Miss Twain - it would mean the world to me, it’s my heart and soul and story all in one ❤️ Here’s to another year of fun, laughter and dressing up!
Good morning aging and again. Coffee’s on, day is open.
What’s one win you’re taking into today big or small? Drop it below.
@Hype_Alchemist
I’m amplifying every single one.

Time:
- OpenAI leaders believe they are at the cusp of AGI. Sam Altman believes OpenAI will have an internal system that will qualify as AGI by the end of 2026. Mark Chen thinks OpenAI is 80% of the way to AGI.
- OpenAI already has the automated AI research intern - that's Astra. Jakub Pachocki says that Astra "can implement an experimental idea inside OpenAI’s code base, run the experiment, and return results, or take a paper and perform work that previously occupied a human researcher for a week".
- Astra enables "persistent agents", i.e., virtual colleagues toiling for sustained periods on tasks. Thibault Sottiaux says OpenAI is "close" to showing a product built around the concept of persistence. "It’s definitely going to feel like a new thing to people."
- Sam Altman thinks Astra's biggest impact will be on discovery of new knowledge. "I expect this will be the first model where the model actually invents new things in a way that matters", which is "a very AGI-like thing".

Injective is moving deeper into the future of machine native payments.
@injective has joined the Linux x402 Foundation as a core member, alongside Stripe and Coinbase.
x402 is turning HTTP 402 Payment Required into an open standard that allows applications and AI agents to pay for digital services programmatically.
And it’s already live on Injective.
The flow is simple:
→ Request a service
→ Receive a price
→ Pay in USDC
→ Get the result
With payments settling in roughly 650ms, agents can transact without traditional API keys, subscriptions, or manual payment flows.
This is more than faster payments.
It’s infrastructure for an agentic economy, where software can discover services, pay for resources, and execute workflows autonomously.
The machine economy is taking shape.
Injective is building for it.
Strava's data is quite protected so I couldn't index it for Hoodmaps
But the good thing is the US Census data publishes median income level and the data is very fresh and accurate, so I added it to 🗺️ https://t.co/2R4tRNJF0z
So now you can switch to [ 💰 Income mode ] and instantly see wealth or lack of wealth concentrated
Nvidia just paid $12.9 billion for a company famous for giving away AI models for free.
Last year, Hugging Face turned down a $500 million Nvidia investment at a $7 billion valuation. Today Nvidia bought the whole thing for nearly double.
The price looks insane until you see who Nvidia is defending against.
Its biggest customers are all building escape routes. OpenAI is designing chips with Broadcom. Anthropic trains on Amazon's Trainium. Google has run its own TPUs for a decade. The labs writing Nvidia the largest checks are the ones working hardest to stop.
Open models are the counterweight. When Meta or Mistral or DeepSeek releases weights, millions of developers download them, fine-tune them, and serve them, overwhelmingly on Nvidia GPUs through CUDA. Custom silicon has no answer for that ecosystem.
Hugging Face is where that entire world lives. Buy the hub and you own the distribution layer for the one corner of AI that can't leave you.
The money is also smaller than it looks. Nvidia reported $96.2 billion in quarterly revenue today, the same day this deal leaked. At that pace, $12.9 billion is about 12 days of sales.
Nvidia spent 12 days of revenue to make sure the open source rival to its own customers never dies.
BIG NEWS from @awscloud and @nvidia 🤝
We're announcing a major expansion of our strategic collaboration for next-gen AI infrastructure. ⬇️
Building on 16 years of joint innovation, AWS will deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across its global infrastructure in 2027–2028—and that's just the start. The two companies are deepening their work together across AI factories, CPUs, networking, open models, data processing, and robotics.
This expansion gives customers even more ways to build and deploy AI at scale.
