Where did the "adult contemporary" genre go? Where are the middle aged men singing songs that neither fire me up nor calm me down, but rather make me nod along in quiet appreciation that a song is currently occurring.
Every news outlet is like, "The economy is amazing, jobs are up," and every person I know is like, "I got laid off, the job market is terrible, and I spent half my salary on groceries and transportation."
I don’t think people fully understand what’s happening. We’re not being priced out of luxury. We’re being priced out of normal. A house, car, Groceries, Childcare, Insurance,These weren’t extravagant expectations 20 years ago.
Fast food workers are told to "get a real job" by people who'd lose their minds if McDonald's closed for a week. Essential workers are only essential until they ask for a living wage. Then they're "unskilled labor."
And shout out to the people who will hire your ass with no experience. I’ve always felt like majority of shit can be learned all a mf need is somebody to let them get they foot in the door.
"Work hard and you'll succeed" is the biggest lie ever sold to the working class. I know people working 60 hours a week across two jobs who still have to put their basic groceries on a high-interest credit card.
GENUINELY, i think that if we adopted a 4-day, 32-hour workweek with livable wages, people would be happier, healthier, and more present. There’s no reason we need to work this much. People need time to rest, enjoy their lives, and spend time with family and friends.
The reason millennials are so nostalgic is that they got a brief taste of a world that wasn’t entirely controlled by the stupidest people who’ve ever lived.
Your regular reminder that the 5-day week is not a law of nature.
We made it (100 years ago!), and we can just as easily change it.
It’s time for a 4-day week.
2026 is the peak of millennial burnout. Everything is a subscription, insurance is a nightmare when you actually need it, weddings and holidays cost a fortune, and college became an entry fee instead of a fast pass. Meanwhile, our phones demand attention 24/7. We are not lazy. We are exhausted!
“We can’t raise the minimum wage, because then the price of everything will go up.”
*They DID NOT raise the minimum wage.*
*The price of everything still skyrocketed.*
A refund should not take 8 days. You took my money in 2 seconds, so don’t tell me you need 8 days to return it. If you can take my money instantly, you can return it instantly.
Capitalism has truly killed the art of having a hobby and doing an activity for the sole purpose of enjoying it. Now everything has to be a side hustle or you feel like it's a waste of time
PepsiCo, the parent of Frito lay, has hired a consultant to study why people are snacking less.
Has anybody thought $6 for a bag of chips might be the reason?
