Today marks the 88th natal anniversary of the great Gary Gygax, a creative genius, master innovator, and patient mentor. His works have inspired me for decades, and the short time I had the opportunity to work with him was one of the delights of my life.
We discussed the fiction of Clark Ashton Smith and his peers, as well as the Hyperborea adventure game!

@SpaceCowboyVFX I would say only when there are so many that they are having the opposite effect of the intent; meaning, it becomes obvious that there has to be a secret door, because too much traffic has evidently passed through the "dead-end" sections of the dungeon.
Congrats to @dungeoncraft for raising over a million dollars for his highly anticipated Deathbringer game. The good man has been very complimentary of Hyperborea in the past, and I appreciate it.

Julie Bell just posted that her legendary husband, Boris Vallejo, has Parkinsons at the age of 85 and is now officially retiring from commercial and commissioned work.
It was such an honor to have them both paint my D&D character in 2024. Thank you for decades of inspiration!
World of Kalibruhn is perhaps the most important piece of D&D setting history that's never been published in its full, unadulterated glory. I am looking forward to this!

@MoldvayBX Claremont and John Byrne, Terry Austin, John Romita JR, and then Jim Lee. Hard for me to pick a favorite, but if I had to, it would be Byrne.
Roy Thomas, John Buscema, and Alfredo Alcala adapting the fiction of Robert E. Howard is peak quality in the graphical medium of comic book storytelling in my not so humble opinion. Do you have a favorite writer / artist(s) team?
Just signed the contract that will see a 20+ year project I began with Gary Gygax come to fruition and honestly I have some serious emotions about this right now.
I hope I did good by ya, sir.
