The ‘Ice Age’ film series made hundreds of millions of dollars and was highly successful in Europe. There’s a story that a ‘Ice Age’ ride was pitched for Disney Studios Europe several years ago after TWDC purchased Fox and Blue Sky Animation. #Fox#DisneylandParis
Great interview by Dutch podcast @dtalesnl with the author of “Eat Like Walt”, “Walt’s Disneyland” and the upcoming book “100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime” @MarcySmothers 📚✨
The lovely @MarcySmothers tells all about how her great books on Disney came to be on the Dutch D-Tales podcast. Intro in Dutch, the good stuff starts at 3m13! https://t.co/3AkEeTVj6j
After fighting long and hard for years on the recognition of Disneyland Paris as name for the resort, they’ve now just given up and going all-in on the retro nostalgia of Euro Disney, aren’t they? I like it! 😅👍
⚠️ Planet Hollywood at Disney Village will permanently close on January 7, 2023. The location will change to a new restaurant concept yet to be announced, as part of the Disney Village remodel.
I really don’t understand the communication strategy of DLP. It’s not like you had a perfect event with high profile imagineers and lots of fans in the audience eager for new announcements. Why reveal this two days after? 🤷♂️
Still: very cool vehicle design! 😍
Stark Industries just unveiled a sneak peek of the Avengers Deployment Vehicle! ✨ We’re sharing 6 facts you need to know about this super mode of transportation: https://t.co/PzGUDtY0Y5
@JimShull I couldn’t quite place the building behind Pirates of the Caribbean; thought I might have missed an attraction. But it looks like a backstage building 😅
Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to win the meet ‘n’ greet; I guess you’ll have to sign my copy of ‘From Sketch to Reality’ another time…😉
Enjoy the rest of your time in Paris!
@TomKMorris It was really nice to see and hear you speak about Fantasyland today at the Imagineering panel! Thanks for making the trip across the Atlantic for us.
What a great once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Tony, Tim and @TomKMorris (+a lot of other awesome people) reminisce about the design, development and construction of Disneyland Paris!
There’s a livestream on Tuesday, April 12th, but I’m trying to squeeze a quick visit in!
✨Video: tonight Disneyland Paris premiered a longer version of the “Disney D-Light” projection and drone show by combining it with the popular “After Glow” post-show segment. Both are now blended together before Disney Illuminations with a new “wow moment” transition!
Did you know: during the show there are 5 “spotters” on the rooftops of Fantasyland. Cast Members who simply check if all drones are “show ready” and behave accordingly.
Cool behind-the-scenes look at Disney D-Light; the unique drone show at #DisneylandParis
Did you know each drone, a Parrot Bebop, can only fly 15mins on one charge; 10mins for safety. That’s why a total of 300 drones is used: 150 for the preshow, another 150 for the post show
