5/8" or 1" rack holes? It's not about strength. It's about which attachments fit.

Measure this before you buy any rear-facing weight horn attachment: the distance from your rack uprights to the wall.
Mine sit 17" off the wall. That number rules out more attachments than my budget does.

Unpopular #HomeGym opinion: once you're past a certain age, a belt squat is a better buy than another barbell upgrade.
Legs still get hammered. Spine stays out of it.
I moved most of my squatting to a hip belt and my back noticed.
Belt squat or barbell, where do you land?
Same pin, half the resistance.
On a 2:1 cable machine, 100 lb on the pin feels like about 50 at the handle. On a 4:1, about 25.

@homegymcoop My Voltra 1 tops out at 230 lb, and that range covers most cable work. An open-source unit near that ceiling would be a big deal for home gyms.
@homegymcoop Agree. The rack is rarely the expensive part. The attachments you add later are. Check upright size and hole spacing before buying the cheap rack, or you're locked out of half the add-ons.
Home gym people: what's one piece of equipment you bought, used, then sold?
Mine: a Smith attachment. Smooth, worked great, but it ate two full rack uprights I actually needed.
