The Israeli military has deployed the Kfir Brigade to force the last remaining civilian communities in Beit Lahia to leave their homes. Family residences have been bombed, and families already deprived of food, water, and medical support have endured over a month of intense bombardment, driving many to flee the area for survival.

The expansion of the ground operation in northern Gaza is part of the “generals’ plan,” which aims to isolate key routes, establish buffer zones around border crossings, and secure military control over these regions.

Recent large-scale demolitions are also part of this initiative to clear areas for future settlement projects. These steps, similar to the extensive clearing operations along the Netzarim axis, target strategic areas not only adjacent to densely populated Palestinian centers but also bordered by Israel on two sides and the sea on the third. This makes these areas more accessible for future settlement, effectively shifting the northern border further south.

Forced displacement and movement restrictions worsen the humanitarian situation in Gaza, deepening the internal displacement crisis and intensifying pressure on already overcrowded southern regions.
