I'm fortunate to call Rachele's dad, Frank, a friend. He asked if I could make a call. The typical, "I got a guy." Next thing you know, Rachele is playing softball in Italy, and the journey continues today. The New York Post featured her story today, crediting IABF as the catalyst.
We have been blessed to make a difference. We have been fortunate to build something so special that it actually makes a global impact. But the simple fact that we can help change someone's life, a young woman, impact her journey and trajectory, because we share the same heritage and love of the game, is really remarkable. It's what inspires me and our IABF - Italian American Baseball Foundation - board every day.
Thanks again to the New York Post for telling a unique story with a local angle that has international value. Andiamo! 🇮🇹🇺🇸
