6400 S 12th St, 5:37pm - Tacoma Fire is responding to an explosion at an apartment complex. There was smoke coming from an electrical conduit, alarms sounded, a resident pulled the alarm. We are actively evacuating buildings in the complex out of caution.
4300 blk 67th Ave W, 1:51am - TFD crews responded to a duplex fire. Upon arrival, they saw heavy smoke & flames coming from the building. Crews spent 40 minutes getting the fire under control. Building occupants evacuated safely. No injuries. Fire under investigation.
3500 blk East I St, 7:44am - TFD received calls for possible house fire. Crews saw flames & heavy smoke from home. Crews attacked the fire with offensive strategy; switched to defensive when unable to reach fire source in basement right away. Occupants report they are all out.

9400 Tacoma Ave S, 12:05am - TFD responded to a call that someone’s back patio was on fire. When crews arrived on scene, they found the 2-story home on fire. Crews are still on scene putting out hot spots. No injuries to report at this time.
S 56th St & S Thompson Ave, 6pm - TFD crews responded to a 2-car accident with one vehicle on its side, and one person trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters were extricated the patient, and transported that person to a local hospital.
