On September 23, 1935, Local Lodge 751 was officially chartered by the International Association of Machinists. It later became IAM District Lodge 751, as we know it today.

For 91 years, generations of 751 Machinists have stood together and fought for a stronger future. This photo from our 2024 Strike Sanction Vote captures that legacy in action.

We fight today for our tomorrow.

Labor Day has Machinist roots. ⚙️

Machinist and union leader Matthew Maguire helped organize the first U.S. Labor Day celebration in 1882. It wasn’t created as just another long weekend—it grew out of the fight for dignity, fair pay and a voice on the job.

IAM members proudly carry that fight forward today. Labor Day is OUR day!

Local Lodge E was right on target at the annual Shoes for Puppies horseshoe tournament! 👟🐾
