In football, you can't fast-forward to full time. The same applies to sobering up, you canโt speed up the process.
It takes a lot longer than most people think for alcohol to pass through the body. On average, the body eliminates blood alcohol content (BAC) at a rate of one unit per hour.
Because of this, you could still be unknowingly over the drink-drive limit the morning after the game. If youโre planning to drive the next morning โ we recommend avoiding consuming alcohol.

๐ Should we keep letting cars get bigger?
Cars are growing. Todayโs models are often wider and heavier than older generations, with SUVs now the UKโs biggest-selling vehicle type. Bigger cars offer more space and safety but can make parking and narrow streets harder. Some councils are introducing weight-based parking fees, while others say drivers should choose what suits them.
๐ข Have your say: Should authorities introduce measures to curb vehicle growth, or should market demand dictate car sizes?
Drop your thoughts in the comments below and you could feature in our next magazine! ๐

Thereโs no reliable way to drink alcohol and stay under the drink-drive limit. If youโre driving, make it #NoneForTheRoad.

Weโve added an extra Motorcycle Skills Day to the season at Thruxton on Thursday 30 July. Itโs a great opportunity to build confidence, sharpen your riding skills, and receive expert feedback to become a stronger, safer rider.

Our Car Skills Day at Thruxton a few weeks back gave drivers the chance to build confidence and sharpen technique - with an optional Skid Pan add on for those wanting to take things even further.
Participants begin with a compulsory safety briefing before moving into some IPSGA theory, setting them up with the knowledge they need before heading out onto the circuit.
Our Skills Days are a great blend of learning, progression and hands on driving, and are well received.
