in the right spaces you won’t have to whisper your truth, in the right spaces you won’t feel reluctance to give your feelings a voice, in the right spaces you will feel encouraged to raise the volume on everything that holds true to you so you can silence everything that isn’t.
So far in my 20s the best lesson I’ve learnt is that life will go on. People come & go, you lose friends, break up with lovers, meet new people, encounter new success and failure but life will go on! you’ll be straight.
consistently carrying around other peoples ideas of you is heavy, exhausting and not sustainable. i hope you learn to release what doesn’t belong to you so you can free up more room for you.
one thing you are in control of is romanticizing life. you can do anything to make it lovely. watch the stars. eat the sweetest fruits. dance to your favourite songs. read books with the prettiest covers. buy yourself pretty things. add more love into the world. that’s the point.
Please take your time to build the things you care about, be it yourself, your career, business or relationships.. let no one rush you, attaching success to age is somewhat unrealistic, try and intentionally pace yourself, you’ll win.
Being pretty is the least interesting thing about you.
Don’t let anyone fool you into spending all your hard-earned money trying to fulfill this empty quest.
Shoutout to the women who are risk takers. To the women who do it scared, because they understand that without challenges, there’s no growth. The women who have learned to appreciate being uncomfortable and coming out on top with gained knowledge. I hope you have an amazing day.
An OG told me once: They don’t respect you at the bottom, they ignore you in the middle, and they hate you at the top. You’ll never have everyone’s approval. So it’s best to just focus on what you’re doing.
@themultiplemom Some parents believe they must verbally/mentally/physically beat a child into submission and compliance simply because they’re the adult and that is simply a “good kid”
Next thing you know they’re compliant and submissive to people in a position of power who hurt them
A child’s challenging behavior isn’t always a reflection of bad parenting. When a child’s immediate needs are unmet or they lack certain skills, it weighs heavily; they react. You can provide everything, and they will still have needs—that’s part of being a developing person.
‘Good behavior’ is not always a sign of good parenting. Often, overly compliant children are not self-regulated; they are overwhelmed and people-pleasing out of fear.
You broke the cycle. Don't let people, places, groups, and situations that you've healed from, leveled up, outgrown, and no longer vibe with irritate your soul, trigger your mental health, lower your vibe, and bring back an older version of you.
