By replacing cotton with wool, the IIT Delhi-originated startup is developing denim that offers better thermal insulation for colder climates. But that’s just one part of what the team is building.

From making wool washable without dry cleaning to developing waterless textile technologies and extreme cold-weather clothing for defence applications,

IndigoTex is solving some very practical challenges in the way textiles are made and used.

The first cohort of India’s Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund marks a significant step towards addressing this challenge, with ₹7,131 crore committed to 19 fund managers and research organisations.
