With all that’s going on these days, Earth is still spinning, and the tilt of Earth’s axis induced the first day of fall here in the Northern Hemisphere. A good time to think about the near future. #VoteforScience
Attending a #NSTA webinar on Sense-making for distance learning. (No power. No WiFi. Thanks Tropical Storm Isaias) If we cant be hand-on, we can still be minds-on!#teachershavethesummeroff

We had over 140 people this afternoon participating in the Medical Moment Celebration of Learning! @IARScience and I are so proud of students' persistence to create quality work and of how supportive they were of their peers today. #iarsciencewillwin
IAR students using their #NGSS practices at home. Students investigated different factors that change the melting time of ice. They are seeking to explain why someone in a sealed car overheats faster than someone standing outside the car.
I’ve always loved joining commencements––the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice. Even if we can’t get together in person this year, Michelle and I are excited to celebrate the nationwide Class of 2020 and recognize this milestone with you and your loved ones.
An IAR student sent a special message for his teachers! His level of gratitude is heartfelt. What an amazing tribute to teachers! #WeGotThis#fpsleadingtheway
When I was 14, I went to the 1st #EarthDay in D.C. In those days, it was all about pollution. Today, it’s climate change - and the pandemic. Every astronaut, cosmonaut & taikonaut comes down & reminds us we are all citizens of one world, one planet. It’s up to us to preserve it!
