The mission of the @IATSE Young Worker Committee is to identify leaders and empower young members in their local unions and at their jobsite or workplace.
Thanks to everyone who attended last night's Young Workers Happy Hour! It was great to meet so many young leaders and activists -- not to mention artists. We created dozens of hand-drawn postcards to support federal funding for the arts.

@matthewloeb "Always put the membership first. And if you let that tenet guide you, it will help you make the tough decisions. If you stick with that, you'll be okay."
"I'm here today because Young Workers are so important to our union. I feel like I'm looking at the future of our organization. Always keep in mind the profound responsibility that comes with speaking for other people." - International President @matthewloeb addresses #IAYWC18
@matthewloeb "Not everyone can be an Officer or a leader, but everyone can be an activist. And you can have a huge impact on your local union and your community by being an activist and sticking up for your fellow members."
On Day 1 of our Young Workers Conference, Assistant Stagecraft Department Director Joe Hartnett presents about the history and structure of the IATSE. #YWC2018
"Young Worker groups are important, not just because we need young leaders. We need young members who understand our union and who are active at union meetings and events." - President @matthewloeb at #IACanCon2018

@IATSE @Lightguy911 "When we sign up a new member, we also talk about the PAC and why it's important. And we ask them to sign up at just $1/month. Because simply signing up makes someone much more committed. Don't be afraid to make that ask!"
Paul Cox (@lightguy911), newly elected president of Local 631, attended the first two IATSE Young Workers Conferences. Now he's on stage at the GEB, talking about the importance of the IATSE PAC. #IATSE125#GrowthEqualsStrength
