A system isn't for the lucky ones. It's for the unlucky ones. The Saudi woman with a bad father has the same passport, the same custody law, the same court and the same abuse hotline as the one with a good father. That's not luck. That's law.
You say the system denies her rights. Name one. Nobody in this thread has managed it yet.
Luck is what Argentina offers its women: one killed every 30 hours. Saudi women don't need luck. They have a judge.
"They demand decorum." Every parent on earth who houses a child expects decent behavior. That's not Saudi culture, that's parenting. The alternative isn't freedom, it's a landlord.
"Should arise from love." In Saudi law it doesn't have to. A father who stops providing can be sued by his own daughter and lose. Love is optional. The cheque isn't. Your version depends on his heart. Ours depends on a judge.
"Every Saudi bears the shame." Let's try your rule on you.
Every Argentine bears the shame of a junta that disappeared 30,000 of its own people and stole their babies. Of sheltering Eichmann and Mengele. Of the AMIA bombing, 85 dead, a 30-year cover-up, and a prosecutor found dead the night before he testified.
Sound fair? No. Because you weren't there, and collective guilt is a lazy man's argument. It's just as lazy aimed at 20 million Saudis.
"Funded terrorism." Al-Qaeda bombed Riyadh in 2003. ISIS blew up our mosques in 2015. Saudi Arabia has buried its own citizens to terrorism and spent twenty years fighting it, at home and in every coalition that mattered. You're describing a victim of the fire as the arsonist.
As for our system of government: we're not ashamed of it, and we didn't ask your blessing. Your republic had six coups in one century and a peso that hit a record low yesterday. You're not in a position to grade governments. You're in a position to fix yours.
Then shut the fuck up.
You didn't say there are no femicides in Argentina. You just acted like it. You came to a Saudi woman's tweet to lecture her about protection, from a country that buries a woman every 30 hours. If you know your own numbers, you knew you had no standing. You lectured anyway.
That's the whole thread: an Argentine with a femicide crisis explaining safety to Saudi women who don't have one, calling them stupid when they decline the lesson.
Fix yours. Then we'll talk about ours. Not before.
Your own government abolished Argentina's Ministry of Women in 2023. A woman is killed in your country roughly every 30 hours. You put "libertarios" in your do-not-interact list, so you know exactly who did it and you know exactly how bad it is. And the thread you chose to write was about Saudi women, sourced from a hashtag you admit you got wrong.
The women who need your rage speak Spanish, live in your city, and their ministry is gone. Your love is being delivered to the wrong address.
You reached back to 2021 for one case. Argentina produces one roughly every 30 hours. That's why #NiUnaMenos exists at all: not one Hadeel, but thousands, year after year, in a country that still can't stop it.
So yes, put Hadeel's name next to #NiUnaMenos. It belongs there. But as one, in a country that rose for her, not as proof that Saudi women live like Argentine women die.
May she rest in peace. And may her name stop being a prop.
@juliaeffer55149 A country that can't keep its women alive doesn't get to grade countries that can. Hands behind the ears is the right pose. It's what Argentina has done to its women for years.
#Argentina, you tried to explain my country to me from 13,000 km away. Let me return the favor.
While you were lecturing Saudi women, your peso hit a record low. Yesterday. 1,541 to the dollar. Ten years ago it was 15.
It lost more value during that thread than Saudi women lost rights in a decade. (They gained them.)
Fix your own house before you inspect mine. Yours is the one on fire.
