Hey @papergirlmacy, where is the book calling out the KOLs and the revolving door with Indivior?

No chapter on Tom McLellan or Keith Humphreys?
Both profoundly shaped US drug policy.
Both served on Indivior’s board.
Both made six figures.
Both held Indivior stock.
And neither discloses these conflicts in the work that shaped national policy.

Keith Humphreys influences opioid policy, then shows up tied to Indivior while the CBO releases an opioid report he externally reviewed.
No disclosure. No scrutiny. No outrage.

Tom McLellan publishes policy-shaping papers with no meaningful disclosures despite deep industry ties.
Silence.

Meanwhile, CMEs heavily funded by Indivior aggressively push Suboxone as the solution for everything.
Also somehow not a problem.

And from you? Silence.
From Danny Strong? Silence.

So let’s stop pretending this was ever about fighting “the system.”

It was about mass tort lawyers.
And about protecting and expanding an unregulated addiction industry.
Reclassify anyone on opioids as OUD.
Push Suboxone as the answer.
For life.

Because if you actually cared about patients or integrity, this would outrage you.
It does not.

Millions of pain patients abandoned and force tapered.
Millions bullied or coerced onto Suboxone.

PDMP red flags for grandma taking one Vicodin a day.
Risk scores for stable elderly patients.
Green flags and protection for addicts selling their Suboxone to access their drug of choice.

Suboxone for one and all.
Now you are running for office.
I guess your work here is done, right?

If you had any conscience at all, you'd do a media tour about the harms caused by your book. Call them "unintended," I truly don't care. But, you are sitting back watching millions of pts suffer in the name of opioid elimination, and you say NOTHING.

Yet, still, nobody other than pain patients are discussing the fact that in the name of opioid elimination, many, probably millions, have been put on polypharmacy of anti-psychotics and antidepressants even though they don't have any psych diagnoses.

What we need now is for @POTUS @RobertKennedyJr to reign in the @CDCgov regarding the “opioid prescribing” & the @DEAHQ to stop arresting doctors doing their job. We all know the “opioid crisis” is from street drugs. Some need opioids to function . Not everyone becomes addicted.

@ScottFishman Odd take considering it’s EXTREMELY hard to get prescribed opiate pain meds (any scheduled med really). Possible gabapentin skewed his thought process but that is not a pain med (even tho it’s treated like it to stay away from scary opiates).
