Oh hello, I (Tony) made a thing, and I need your help! Gas is really expensive. It is hard to find the best prices, and even harder to find the best prices for alternative fuels like R99 diesel, biodiesel, e85, etc. https://t.co/eG6j1UNhJv is a crowdsourced fuel app for regular gas + alternative fuels, with gamification in the form of "capturing territory" and gaining population when you submit prices. Steal the top spot from me on the leaderboard 👀

Price submission is quick and easy, either snap a pic of the station sign, or the pump, and the app extracts the prices for you quickly and automatically, you simply select the right station (if there are multiple nearby) and submit.

The app has value even without crowdsourced prices because even finding stations with these alternative fuels is difficult, and the app has all the information for locations already, just no prices. But obviously much more value helping users find the best prices once we get a big user base.

This is very beta still and things will break, but I thought it was finished enough I just need to release it and get prices starting to come in. Respond here when you find issues or send me emails. No apps on the app stores yet, but it can be installed as an app via the browser "add to homescreen" option. Goal is to release native apps on the stores eventually.

I'll make a video about it soon too, Twitter posts don't gain a lot of traction usually, especially those linking to external things like this

I think it is actually kinda fun to use and capture area and will be genuinely useful for people, which is one of my big life goals as I work on things outside of TGD "help people with things in real life"

Quick update on future plans for TGD

I'm on the other side of the planet for a bit for a friend's wedding (India)

WZ data will be updated when I get back, BO7 MP data as well (@TheXclusiveAce partnership 😀) and hopefully BF6 + RedSec data added soon but this one I cannot guarantee

Long term: we essentially plan on keeping WZ data up to date forever, and we have partnered with @TheXclusiveAce for BO7 MP data as mentioned above that will hopefully continue long into the future, any usage of the site for MP directly supports Ace now

As mentioned above, I have been investigating BF6/RedSec data and we plan to add this someday, but I cannot guarantee it

TGD, as you can imagine now that I have stopped making videos, the game has become less popular overall, and competitors became huge, does not generate nearly enough income anymore for it to be my sole focus like it was for the first 3 years or so, so I am also hard at work trying to get other projects / companies off the ground that are unrelated to TGD

But I have no plans to stop updating the data for WZ and MP in the foreseeable future. I know a ton of people still enjoy using TGD and that reason alone is enough to keep it going

The True TTK Simulation tool on TGD has been greatly improved. It now uses the actual TTK you get from the top left of the screen in the firing range. Enter your 50m target TTK for each gun/build, 5+ times recommended, and it will simulate very accurately how it will perform across all ranges. Before it used your weapon accuracy, which was plagued by shots missed after the target was downed among some other issues. It is far more accurate now.

We have also updated the weighting curve to be easier to understand and use, and with the ability to add skew to the weighting curve. In the example in these screenshots, I was testing for a long range gun, so I used a right skew to calculate the final weighted simulated TTK values

As a refresher, it works by using the real TTKs you provide when downing the 50 meter target with 3 plates, then extrapolates to all ranges real, shot quantized TTKs with whatever stats you want to add in just like normal.

Then it calculates a single weighted TTK for each gun based on your engagement probability distribution curve (the dotted line) by multiplying the Y value of that curve by the TTK value of each simulation at that X point and then summing them up

Set up your favorite builds or use MetaGen top builds, spend 5 minutes testing them in the firing range and plugging in the values into this tool, and you will truly see for you and the engagement scenario you have input, which gun you, as an individual, will get the best TTKs with

I didn't tweet it, my bad. But TGD is fully up to date for S4 Reloaded and this morning's patch, as of this morning, including MetaGen, excluding Rapid Fire for any of the guns that were buffed or nerfed, and excluding just a few base stat changes for non-BO6 guns 👍
