Supergirl exists. That’s about the best I can say. Likeable lead, fun Momoa as Lobo, forgettable villain, lazy plot. I’ve seen this exact movie 25 times before. Being mediocre is worse than being bad. 6/10

The Odyssey is breathtaking in IMAX. Nolan at his most visually ambitious, with a cast that delivers top to bottom. Brilliant film. But overhyped? Just a little. Not quite his greatest masterpiece for me. 8.5/10

Heartstopper: Forever is exactly what it needed to be. A joyful, heartfelt, perfect ending for Nick, Charlie and the gang. After everything this series has meant to so many people — they all deserved their happy ending. 8/10

Evil Dead Burns doesn’t have much of a plot. It doesn’t need one. Blood, guts, gore and Deadites doing what Deadites do best. Made me squirm. Made me feel ill. Exactly what I wanted. 7/10

Jackass: Best and Last is everything Scary Movie wasn’t for me this year — pure nostalgia done right. Old clips, new footage, laughed from start to finish. Perfect way to end the franchise. 7.5/10.

Disclosure Day was on the fence for me going in. Spielberg doing classic sci-fi though? Always worth the watch. Mystery builds beautifully, cast is great. Could lose 10-15 mins but a real surprise. 7/10 #

Obsession almost wasn’t on my list. Glad I caught the hype train. Genuinely scary, genuinely brilliant, with humour placed exactly where it needs to be. One of the best horror films I’ve seen in ages. 8/10

The new Scary Movie didn’t just disappoint me as a film. It made me realise a part of my childhood is gone. The originals are still brilliant. This is a mess. Some laughs but nothing holding it together. 4/10 #ScaryMovie
Tip Toe isn’t just great TV, it’s TV that forces you to ask difficult questions. Funny, emotional, unsettling and frighteningly relevant. That final episode will have people talking for a long time. Russell T Davies has absolutely delivered. ★★★★★

@CultureCrave Needs to double that 170m just to break even once you add in marketing. Unfortunately I see this being a bit of a bomb. Released 10 years too late?
Masters of the Universe has two films inside it. One with He-Man that’s genuinely great. One with Skeletor that’s genuinely awful. Jared Leto is catastrophically miscast and it kills the whole thing. Such a wasted opportunity. 5/10

The Mandalorian & Grogu is perfectly fine. Safe, entertaining, and basically the TV show on the big screen. You get all the action, adventure, and Grogu moments you expect — but it never really pushes to become something greater. ★★★☆☆

Thrash on Netflix completely surprised me. Proper early 2000s B-movie vibes — think Lake Placid energy. Storm, sharks where they shouldn’t be, chaos. It’s dumb, it’s fun, and honestly more enjoyable than some recent cinema releases. ★★★★☆

Mortal Kombat fully embraces the chaos and it’s so much better for it.
Funny, ridiculously violent, and packed with insane fight scenes. Exactly what this franchise should be. ★★★★☆

Hokum is all build-up with no payoff.
It keeps teasing big scares that never land, and when they finally do, it’s not worth the wait. Creepy, but very average. ★★½☆☆

I enjoyed Michael, but it’s not really a biopic — it’s more of a greatest hits concert film. The music and performances are great, but it avoids diving into the more complex parts of his life. Entertaining, but plays it very safe. ★★★☆☆
