Journalists can often be heroes. He is one of them.
Trump is afraid of real journalists because they ask the questions he doesn’t want asking. He’s afraid because they tell the truth.
Trump is the one destroying America. Literally. You need these people to hold him to account.
@WhiteHouse@POTUS Wait, I thought it was "the Islamic Republic of Japan." 🤦🏻♀️ The world is laughing at DJT & his MAGAt minions. https://t.co/YHaSWKVchT
HOLY SH*T, Iran is DRAGGING trump's delusional ass for saying "Islamic Republic of Japan" and confusing Zelensky with Putin.
"He's confusing Tehran with Tokyo, man...
The whole world laughing."
They're not wrong.
Amid all the corruption, this is especially gross: the billions Congress/Biden approved to build fiber internet in places left behind has been redirected to Elon Musk & Jeff Bezos for doing nothing. Musk has pocketed $738 million so far. Places like rural Louisiana were screwed.
BREAKING via The New York Times:
Federal agents delivered subpoenas to several New York Times journalists after the Times published a story revealing that the new Air Force One, the jet gifted by Qatar, lacked key security features found on the older Air Force One.
The subpoenas require the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan this Wednesday.
A top attorney for the Times called the Trump administration’s move a “brazen act.”
The Times reporters who received the subpoenas are Julian E. Barnes, Eric Lipton, Tyler Pager and Eric Schmitt.

@WhiteHouse@POTUS The files we want to see are THE EPSTEIN FILES, but y'all know that. Release the UNREDACTED Epstein files. The victims want this, the American public needs to know the truth. We know DJT & his billionaire buddies think their secrets will remain hidden but they're wrong.
The Trump admin has appointed Matthew M. Wielicki to oversee the National Climate Assessment.
Wielicki is a climate change denier with zero training as a climate scientist.
Another scam.
Another gimmick.
Another bribe.
Not only will these "Trump accounts" fail to improve child poverty outcomes, but they are designed to INCREASE the wealth gap by offering greater investment opportunities to the RICHEST families.
Most families will NOT be able to steadily contribute to the program for the tax advantage.
These accounts are structured in a way where they just serve the top 1%!
Why not address child poverty directly? Why put the onus on families? Why connect the value of these "Trump accounts" to the wealth and power of institutional investors and the richest contributors?
Why make it harder for poorer families to qualify?
And why was this rollout contingent on Trump telling people to invest in the billionaire donor, Michael Dell, who pledged the seed money for these accounts? Whose stock rose substantially after Trump advised Americans to "go out and buy a Dell" at an event at the White House?
These are rhetorical questions of course.
The answer is, because it's another classic Trump grift.
Dell's company was also awarded a $9.7 billion contract by the Pentagon to provide a suite of software to the U.S. military, and the Pentagon deal came after Dell spent considerable time courting the White House and after Trump urged Americans to purchase the company's computers.
In other words, a QUID PRO QUO for the "Trump Accounts" donation.
This administration has normalized corruption. They're doing it out in the open now with no accountability or consequences.
It's emblematic of the Trump administration's whole kleptocratic agenda.
Trump's policies are accelerating rampant economic inequality; taking from the poor to give to the rich; concentrating financial power and resources into the hands of the wealthy and powerful few at the expense of the rest of us plebs who will continue to suffer under the economic tyranny of Trump's ruling class REGIME!
A vast majority of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy.
Trump insists that he's ushering in the "Golden Age" of America.
No, he's ushering in the greatest redistribution of wealth in a generation—another "gilded age."
MAGA doesn't understand the difference because it requires basic knowledge of US history.
Income and wealth disparities are also MOUNTING. Trump is doing nothing to address affordability issues and widespread economic inequality.
In fact, income inequality just reached a 60-year peak.
Trump's policies have also allowed for the top 1% of stockholders to own more assets than the bottom 99%.
So when you hear Trump brag about the stockmarket, he's really just acknowledging that the rich are getting richer as most Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
Trump is making housing less affordable for first time buyers and renters in favor of serving the interests of the richest homeowners and investors.
The inflation rate has just climbed to its highest point in three years and prices are rising faster than wages.
Trump's tariff and trade policies have passed costs down to consumers in the form of a regressive tax that is disproportionately raising costs for low income, working class Americans and families.
Americans have collectively paid hundreds of billions more in costs due to Trump's tariffs.
Studies even show that without Trump's tariffs, the inflation rate would have returned to pre-pandemic levels.
Trump has caused thousands of farmers to go bankrupt and domestic industries to falter.
His big beautiful bill extended huge tax breaks and incentives for the rich and corporations at the expense of millions of Americans' access to healthcare, food assistance, and the social safety net.
And while Americans are contending with a major affordability crisis, Trump and his family are monetizing the presidency to the tune of BILLIONS, engaging in massive insider enrichment, cryptocurrency scams, bribery, theft, fraud and corruption.
Donald Trump on housing affordability.
"It's so unimportant."
"It's a yawn. Just about everything is a big yawn."
"I don't think about Americans' financial situation."
"I don't think about anybody."
"I don't care about the midterms."
"I love the inflation."
"I don't want to drive housing prices down, I want to drive housing prices up."
