@afrs300fa2019 We as a community have normalized the word and we look at other cultures and wonder why they use it. I do know that cultures that are not black when they use it, it is taken negatively because that is not their word to use, their ancestors weren’t called this name. #nword

@afrs300fa2019 Within the black community the “N” word can be used as a term of endearment or in a negative light. For other communities that are not black it can’t completely be used as a word of endearment, and it’s our fault as a community that other cultures feel it’s okay to use. #nword

@afrs300fa2019 A crazy epidemic of black women going missing is happening right now and not enough people seem to care. For example the Khalil Wheeler-Weaver case. Or what happened with Alexis Crawford. The biggest thing for Black women right now is our safety. #AAcommunity

@afrs300fa2019 As a African American woman, I believe for black women a big thing we face right now is murder, kidnapping, sex trafficking. A lot of black women are going missing and not enough people are talking about it. Black women are looked as less than or disposable. #AAcommunity

@afrs300fa2019 I liked that they didn’t wait until Smith and Carlos passed away to give them their recognition. Most organizations wait to long to try and right their wrongs and by the time they come to their senses the people they did wrong have already passed away. #SmithCarlosHOF

@afrs300fa2019 Did they change their minds because of the social climate and everything going on in society right now. Or did they realize that they made a mistake back in 1968 by not giving Carlos and Smith the recognition they deserved. #SmithCarlosHOF

@afrs300fa2019 It doesn’t right the wrongs but it is a nice step in the right direction. It sucks that it took five decades for them to realize that they deserve to be in the Olympic Hall of Fame. I am a little conflicted as to why now, what changed their minds. #SmithCarlosHOF

@afrs300fa2019 This could be good because it gives the black community a voice within the NFL. Also through this deal Roc Nation and the NFL have already started programs such as the ‘Inspire Change. I feel they are taking the right steps to make change. #jayzkaepernicknfl

@afrs300fa2019 I feel that this deal could be good for the black community. I understand that people feel like Jay-Z is a hypocrite because in the past he told people not to take deals with the NFL, but if we pay attention to what Roc Nation is trying to do it could be great. #jayzkaepernicknfl
