Data doesn’t lie. If you look at the number of votes obtained by the APC during the last presidential election in 2023 and place it side by side with the number of people that voted in that election, if we extrapolate logically, it suffices to say that the number actually tallies with the number of people with psychiatric illnesses in Nigeria. Data can be stubborn. Just a harmless observation.
I used to have a nurse working with me when I was in the north. I noticed he was always absent from work, especially during the early hours of the day. One day, I asked him why he was always nowhere to be found during the early part of the day. What the guy told me shocked me to my marrow: he said he is into rice farming and was planning on resigning from his nursing job because he sees the job as part-time due to its low financial reward. I asked why he would take such a decision, and he said he makes an average of N10million yearly from rice farming and the nursing job is distracting him. I was dumbfounded. I had to invest in the rice business through him the following year and made some cool cash. The guy is late now
We are suffering in this country, and our government really does not care about our predicament. A friend, a medical doctor from Nigeria working in the UK, called me a few months ago and was almost shedding tears. He claimed that after registering his wife for antenatal care at a council clinic, they took some data about him and his wife. He said he was shocked when he received a basket containing milk, various beverages, and other provisions from the council the following week. When he asked what it was meant for, he was told it was a care package for the pregnancy and the baby, and that deliveries have been flowing in non-stop from the council. We are only suffering and smiling while a few sit in government and lavish our common patrimony.
Everyone wants to do the job of a doctor through the back door, but no one is ready to endure the rigors of becoming one. If I am ever in doubt, even to the smallest degree, about the diagnosis of a case, I either call a more experienced and knowledgeable superior or refer to a specialist in that area. A woman with severely elevated blood pressure walked into the pharmacy hoping for a solution, but the pharmacist unknowingly caused her blood pressure to crash, leading to a watershed infarct.
This is Nigeria !
@FPLOlympian@levyy_e This particular match was fixed by the two teams. The FIFA technical committee must sanction every player and every official of both teams involved in this football heist.
There is nothing special about Messi getting a hat trick in a single game in the World Cup. Oleg Salenko scored 5 goals in a single game against Cameroon in USA 1994. Let us be guided! Thank you all.
From my interactions and experience with foreign-trained doctors—except for those from specific countries and universities—most of them are below standard. Some of them could not even answer simple questions expected of 400-level medical students in Nigeria, yet they want to practice in our system. Everything may be wrong with our healthcare system, but not the quality of our graduates.
@inecnigeria should come and explain to Nigerians why they are trying to disenfranchise Nigerians in 2027. The same complaint is everywhere. @inecnigeria every vote must count in 2027 and all votes must be counted.
ADC presidential primary election was fraudulent and doctored by David Mark and other ADC executives to favour Atiku Abubakar……..Babachir Lawal on Channels TV
OAU, you have mail. Does this mean, with this kind of h-index, I can be a professor at your university? I am not capping; I currently have over more than 300 citations and an h-index of 14. I hope this is not one of those political professorships. Just thinking🤔🤔 🤔
Addendum,
Hungarian physician Ignaz Semmelweis was confined to a mental institution after advocating for compulsory handwashing in the labor ward. He observed that labor supervised by nurses had a lower mortality rate than that carried out by doctors, leading him to insist that spontaneous deliveries should be supervised by nurses. He also observed a fundamental difference between deliveries performed by nurses and those by doctors: nurses utilized surgical barrier techniques (like gloves) and were extremely strict with hand hygiene. For this singular reason, his colleagues resented him, claiming he was mad and mentally unfit to practice.
Around May last year, I was traveling along that terrible road between Ekiti state and Kogi state to my village when some cars in front of me were attacked just a few kilometres to Obajana. I saw it happen live. Since it was around 6:30 pm, I had to stay in a guest house before continuing my journey the following day. The whole of Kogi State has been surrounded by Fulani terrorists, especially the border between Ekiti and Kogi State. The governors of Kogi and Ekiti states are acting as if they don’t know that their states are currently under siege and have been taken over by these terrorists. How long will our politicians continue to play politics with insecurity and precious human lives ?
Nigerians, please we need your help. On the 15th of May, Boko Haram entered a school called JSS Mussa Birri, Askira-UBA LGA in Borno State.
The governor offered the families of the children the sum of N10Million as shut up money…….. A family of one of the victims cries out.
We must end APC before they end all of us in Nigeria in 2027.
