I've had the most amazing time tonight at the Pearson National Teaching Awards 2023. @TeachingAwards
There are some truly inspirational folk working in schools around the UK.
Thank you for counting me among your silver award winners. Humbled.

These replies my days
1. It sounds awesome. Observing and being observed is the best way to get better at teaching faster
2. If you don't like it, don't apply, don't be a whiny eduloser in the replies
3. I'd bet my house that there's a strong correlation between "not wanting to be observed" and "sucking as a teacher"
Once again, we often show ourselves to not be a serious profession.
Our wonderful 2024 Teaching Assistant of the Year Silver Winners! π Who will take home the Gold? We can't wait to celebrate with you all next week! #TeachingHeroes
@acharya_molly@Bloomgabs Possibly but I simply haven't looked at it in depth yet.
We've have double the number ask for a remark for language than for lit but lit grades have been more contentious as students when off are well off.
Longer questions are more open to subjective marking.
@acharya_molly@Bloomgabs Lit marking the examiners mark the entire paper. Language is broken down question by question.
The above scenario (20+ marks out) would be more difficult in a language paper as essentially 1 paper is marked by 5 examiners as there are 5 questions.
