Muri iki gikorwa, ubuhamya bwa Murenzi Maurice bwagaragaje uburyo Abatutsi biciwe bakajugunywa mu Kagera, anashimira Abanyatanzania bakiriye abarokotse bakanabaramira.

As part of the "Survivors in the Community – Intango y'Ubudaheranwa" program, representatives from IBUKA ,and Menzies Aviation visited 10 survivor families living in homes built through the partnership between IBUKA, Menzies Aviation, and Rwamagana District.

The houses were officially inaugurated on 25 June 2025 and have since provided safe and dignified housing for the beneficiary families.

The visit aimed to assess the well-being of the families and witness the positive impact of the initiative on their lives.

Among the visitors were Jo Harrison (SVP Pearl Transformation), Cisse Abdoulaye (Head of Africa), Marine Umulisa (General Manager, Rwanda – Menzies Aviation), and Dr. Philbert Gakwenzire, President of IBUKA.

Together, we remain committed to supporting survivors and building resilient communities.

Today, AVEGA Agahozo, in partnership with various stakeholders, launched a two-day medical outreach at @NyanzaHospital in @NyanzaDistrict to provide specialized healthcare services to widows of the Genocide against the Tutsi. Medical services include ophthalmology, dental care, internal medicine, among others, as well as screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
This initiative supports the health and well-being of vulnerable survivors, particularly during the 100 Days of Commemoration.

Today, 2 June 2026, in Paris, France, President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, officially inaugurated the Memorial Monument dedicated to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

The memorial site in Paris will serve as a place for remembrance and reflection in honor of the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi, while also helping to educate future generations about its history.
