Noah Droddy (@IBuiltTheArk) was that rare athlete who had the viral moment first; the performances later. Really one of the most affable people in running. Great career https://t.co/1yGgWNI67u
Happy trails to 2:09 marathoner Noah Droddy (@IBuiltTheArk) who announced his retirement from competitive running!
On Instagram, he wrote: "This running life has led me to so many beautiful, challenging, and unexpected places. I expect it will continue to do so, just in different ways now. I’ll still be running, I’ll still be around running. But I’m more excited to be there for other people now, and see what challenges become interesting to me along the way"
We've been lucky to have Noah as part of the CITIUS MAG family when @D3GloryDays was part of our podcast network. I'm sure he will continue to serve as an inspiration that many Division III athletes admire and chase as an example. Here's to more glory days!
🚨D3 Indoor Nationals Preview🚨
The D3 Glory Days team once again set out to do something no one else will, preview every. single. event.
Putting this altogether, one thing stood out: this is going to be amazing weekend.

🗣️ “I think the thing that characterizes DII, DIII and NAIA athletes is that they're super passionate about running in a way that differs from DI athletes. They love it and that’s why they’re going to the smaller schools out of high school – because they want that opportunity to keep running.” – @TheRealMerb

A quick chat w/ @IBuiltTheArk on the NCAA Division I & Division III cross country experiences ⤵️
@TheRealMerb I try to avoid expressing opinions on the internet anymore. But I was surprised in reading through the comments how many seemed to struggle with the 'runner' label
@EnduranceAgency I think you’re identifying the problem - just because I would consider that a jogging pace doesn’t necessarily make it an objective, universal truth.
When technology make it so World Records no longer make sense in a historical context, maybe it's time to just focus on the racing. Like cycling. What if we moved away from standardized distances, and record attempts were relegated to project style attempts (like sub 2 proj)?
