Vicenta Martinez Govea is an alumna of the inaugural @iccustudents cohort that was first launched in 2020. Vicenta attended #DayintheCapitol for three consecutive years while earning her BA at @uofsandiego and working at its financial aid office.
She was a strong advocate for students and provided mentorship to her ICCAP successors. Vicenta is now a graduate of @uscedu with a Master's in Architecture.
We are so proud to see Diana be the first student in Menlo College to graduate with that very degree she helped advocate for and pioneered. Congratulations, Diana!
Diana Guardado is an alumna of the @iccustudents 2021 cohort. She served as the co-chair of the #DoublethePell campaign and developed strong leadership skills in facilitating virtual discussions with high level policymakers.
She has also provided peer support to the new class of ICCAP students that have come after her by helping with recruitment efforts and acted as a mentor throughout the program.
After completing the program, Diana delved into her research abroad in Uganda and the United Arab Emirates to gain a global perspective of various educational systems.
She also participated in ICCAP while also working towards earning her bachelor's degree in political science. Today, we are so proud to see her graduate from @msmu_la. Congratulations, Ashley!
Ashley Blancas served as the Communications Team co-chair for the @iccustudents 2023 cohort. She first started as a team member and was later promoted after showing a significant growth in leadership.
She volunteered to manage the cohort's social media accounts and was responsible for creating many of the social media graphics. We were impressed by her willingness to learn and grow her communication skills.
college access. Sara was studying abroad in Italy at the beginning of the program and was working on earning her BA in International Studies while also keeping up with her student athletic activities at @pInu. She is now heading to Quofsandiego to pursue an MA in Peace & Justice
Sara Kuhn served as a Policy & Budget Advocacy team member for the @iccustudents 2023 cohort. She represented ICCAP on the California Undocumented Higher Education Coalition, where she had the opportunity to express support for legislation relating to undocumented students and
