The International Committee of the Fourth International is the leadership of the world #socialist movement, the Fourth International founded by Trotsky in 1938
Statement by David North, national chairperson of the Socialist Equality Party (US), opposing the war and calling for an immediate end to the illegal attack on Iran.
On Sunday, the World Socialist Web Site is sponsoring an international webinar to outline a strategy and program to stop the brutal imperialist onslaught against Iran. The aim of this discussion is to place this event in its appropriate historical, political and social context.
A famous scene from the Godfather. The warning given by Don Corleone to his son will be heeded, in the aftermath of February 28 assassinations of Iranian leaders, by any head of state invited to negotiate with the US government.

The US descends into the abyss: Trump's Oval Office remarks: "Just about everything has been knocked out.” - “They’re going to be in for a lot of hurt.” - “It’s very dangerous out there, a lot of bombs are being dropped.” - “most of the people we had in mind are dead" - "We’re hitting them very hard."
Hegseth, imitating Goebbels, declares "total war": the US won't be constrained by international or domestic law. He needs to read the opening speech of Justice Robert Jackson at the Nuremberg trial of Nazi war criminals.
The attack on Iran is precisely what was described at the Nuremberg trials of Nazi leaders in 1945–46 as a “crime against peace”—the “supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.”
At meetings in Berlin and London last week, I announced that the World Socialist Web Site is launching Socialism AI, a revolutionary tool that will harness artificial intelligence for the development of socialist consciousness in the international working class.
Whatever their hypocritical verbal complaints about one or another massacre carried out by Israel, the imperialist governments in Washington, London, Paris and Berlin have enabled and continue to support the Gaza genocide.

On August 25 I spoke on the island of Büyükada at the Second International Leon Trotsky Conference. I reviewed Trotsky's struggle against the rise of fascism during the four years of his Büyükada exile (1929-33) and the immense contemporary significance of his political legacy.
Veteran Trotskyist Steve Long, who first met Gerry Healy in 1970, writes: "At the height of his powers Healy was a remarkable speaker, political leader and writer, capable of communicating highly complex political processes to a working-class audience."

True to his method, Aiden Beatty calls my book "Agents" a "conspiracy theory" w/o mentioning any of its contents about GPU/FBI surveillance. Mr. Beatty, how do you interpret this State Dept doc saying Joseph Hansen agreed to "impart information" in exchange for "impunity"?

After the WSWS's exposure of his self-discrediting biography of Gerry Healy, there is something pathetic about @AidanJBeatty expressing gratitude for a "generous and thoughtful" review from a fellow middle-class cynic who shares Beatty's hatred of Trotskyism. 1/
For those who are interested in an objective appraisal of Healy, I recommend the concise and critical biography that I wrote following his death in 1989, titled Gerry Healy and his place in the history of the Fourth International.

These two issues of the Fourth International, published by the International Committee in the aftermath of the 1985-86 split, contain the essential documents of the political crisis in the Workers Revolutionary Party. They are not included in @AidanJBeatty's bibliography.
Though @AidanJBeatty himself is from Ireland, his "biography" says nothing about Healy and the Socialist Labour League's immediate denunciation - in contrast to the Stalinists, state capitalists and Pabloites - of the deployment of British troops to Ulster in August 1969.
My detailed review of Beatty's pathetic and dishonest work, posted at https://t.co/po1A3cSmXW, proves that his sham biography, full of fabrications and lies, does not meet the elemental standards of scholarship. Seeking to discredit Healy, Beatty has discredited himself. 6/6
