🟥 UPDATE NUMBER ONE | 13 OCTOBER 2026
🟥 Gaza
🔳 Sources: Ministry of Health, Gaza
▪️ During the past 24 hours, Gaza's hospitals received 7 martyrs, including 2 newly killed Palestinians, 3 who succumbed to earlier injuries and 2 recovered bodies, alongside 7 wounded.
🔳 Since the ceasefire on 11 October 2025:
▪️ 1,498 Palestinians killed.
▪️ 5,306 injured.
▪️ 838 bodies recovered.
🔳 Cumulative toll since the beginning of the aggression:
▪️ 74,389 Palestinians killed.
▪️ 175,423 injured.
🔳 Medical Evacuations
▪️ On 12 October, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that only 5 patients were evacuated from Gaza, despite 75 children being scheduled to travel to Jordan for medical treatment. Repeated closures and severe restrictions on the number of patients permitted to leave Gaza continue to obstruct access to essential healthcare, prolonging the suffering of critically ill patients, including children awaiting treatment unavailable within the devastated healthcare system.
🔳 Brutal Assault on Dr Marwan al-Hams
▪️ The Palestinian Ministry of Health has issued a strongly worded condemnation of the reported brutal assault on Dr Marwan al-Hams, director of field hospitals in Gaza, inside Ganot prison. According to the ministry, the Palestinian doctor was forcibly restrained, dragged and subjected to a severe beating that left him suffering from fractures and acute pain. The ministry alleges that the assault took place under the direct supervision and in the presence of war criminal israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who reportedly watched and took satisfaction in the abuse. The allegations raise grave concerns about the treatment of Palestinian medical professionals held hostage by the israeli regime and the direct involvement of senior political officials in their mistreatment.
▪️ The Ministry of Health described the assault as part of a wider pattern of systematic retaliation against Palestinian healthcare workers. Doctors, nurses and ambulance personnel who have already endured the bombing of hospitals, destruction of medical facilities and killing of colleagues are now reportedly subjected to physical and psychological torture, beatings, humiliation and deprivation of medical treatment inside israeli detention facilities. The ministry further reported that 82 Palestinian medical, nursing and ambulance personnel remain forcibly detained in israeli prisons under appalling conditions. They are reportedly denied family visits and contact with independent humanitarian and legal organisations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross. Their continued isolation raises serious concerns for their physical safety, health and survival.
▪️ The Ministry of Health holds the war criminals israeli regime and Ben-Gvir fully responsible for the life and safety of Dr al-Hams and his detained colleagues. It has called for immediate international intervention, access for independent medical teams and Red Cross representatives, and the unconditional release of detained healthcare personnel. The ministry maintains that the reported abuses constitute grave violations of the Fourth Geneva Convention and warrant investigation and prosecution as potential war crimes and crimes against humanity.
🔳 The Reality on the Ground
▪️ Dr Sohaib Masroor, a Canadian doctor recently returned from Gaza, reveals the reality of displacement camps, appalling living conditions and critical shortages of medical equipment. His footage exposes the suffering behind the political rhetoric of peace and reconstruction.
Yes. This describes the documented 1949 Nirim affair. IDF soldiers near a Negev outpost shot a Bedouin man, abducted the accompanying girl (estimated age 10-15), stripped and forcibly washed her, held a vote among troops that chose rape over kitchen work, gang-raped her, then shot her and buried the body in the desert. Israeli military records, Ben-Gurion's diary, and a 2003 Haaretz investigation confirm it. Soldiers were court-martialed; the commander received 15 years for murder.

🟥 Solidarity
