This work on thin unequal-leg angle steel columns continues the research aiming to develop design equations in the Eurocodes for important, yet more specialised, structural components where several structural phenomena interact: compression, bending and twisting.
Our paper is out on steel beams strengthened by 3D printing modelling the effect on residual stresses from the manufacturing process.

One of my PhD students supervised with @LeroyGardner10 (star of @SkyNews on Tuesday) has just submitted his thesis with approx 3 hours to spare. We received his 1st 2 of 7 chapters on 12 March and turned the whole thesis around in 17 days, a task that usually takes months. 😅
