In Jorin, Hama, livestock farming is a lifeline, but years of conflict have made it harder to sustain. @ICRC & @SyRedCrescent supported 250 families with fodder cash grants, feed, processing equipment & veterinary care.
In emergencies, preparedness can save lives. The @ICRC, with Aleppo’s Directorate of Emergency and Disaster Management @SyMOEADM & @SYRedCrescent, concluded a training for 26 emergency coordinators to strengthen the first responders capacity and readiness.
A few months ago, 4-year-old Nora from Tal Hamis, Qamishli countryside, crawled at home after losing both legs, her mother carried her outside. Today she walks with growing confidence after receiving prosthetic limbs from @ICRC. With every step, she rediscovers play and laughter.
After flooding from the Euphrates River affected homes in Jarablus-Tahtany& Al-Hawi, northern Aleppo, many families struggled to meet basic needs. @ICRC & @SyRedCrescent distributed food baskets, blankets, mattresses & hygiene items to 45 affected families.

Families may wait years for answers, but every step based on science, expertise, and cooperation brings them closer to knowing the fate of their loved ones. The @ICRC, with the Syrian Atomic Energy Commission and participants from the NCMP, concluded a workshop on DNA analysis.
With an @ICRC supported prosthetic limb, he regained mobility. Later, through an @ICRC & @SyRedCrescent livelihoods program, he rebuilt his tailoring work, from two machines to a full workshop. Today, he is a father, rebuilding his life with renewed stability and hope.

Damascus, today 11 forensic practitioners participated in a workshop about the theoretical foundation of DNA analysis, aiming to strengthen national capacities in forensic genetics in Syria and support efforts to identify missing persons.
For more than 3 million people in Aleppo & its countryside, reliable access to water depends on stable electricity supply to Khafsa water treatment plants. @ICRC & @SyRedCrescent & Aleppo Water Authority, is replacing key power cables to help ensure continuity of water services.
@ICRC@SYRedCrescent Over the past two days, the @ICRC and @SYRedCrescent provided food assistance to 1,926 people affected by the floods, including 1,879 people in Huwayjat Saqr. In Huwayjat Al-Bunasser, aid reached 8 isolated families by boat after floodwaters cut off access routes.
Following the floods that affected communities along the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor, many families faced difficulties accessing essential services and meeting their basic needs. Since day one, the @ICRC has supported the response of @SYRedCrescent to help affected families.
Dignity begins with the essentials of daily life. Access to hygiene is vital for health and living with dignity. Together with @SyRedCrescent, @ICRC distributed more than 1,000 hygiene kits to families in Aq Burhan camp, helping improve living conditions and reduce health risks.

At the UN Security Council debate on the protection of civilians, over 85 states, led by Jordan, Brazil, China, France, Kazakhstan, and South Africa, along with the ICRC, issued a warning, stating that respect for international humanitarian law is eroding and demands immediate political action.
In response, a High-Level Conference on Humanity in War will take place in Jordan on 7 Dec 2026.
