@SithThreepio @rickygervais The ones with the orange foam that only worked of you crushed them against your head? But you weren’t allowed in ear ones because they damage your hearing?
If your real problem - as parents believe - is “girls rolling up their skirts” then ask why they Do that in the first place? You have now admitted you were wrong and gone to consultation - but you shouldn’t need to consult at all because there is no level upon which this is right
Banning items of clothing does not increase equality. People have fought for the right to wear clothes associated with the gender they identify as and removing this choice is not ok. I’m looking at you @WarrinerSchool for doing this and @BBCNews for not damning them for it.
And You @educationgovuk for letting this slide. Uniform is about control - it does not effect learning. Controlling the gender of uniform is about controlling the gender of the student.
@MrsMHeadteacher This is actually illegal. Unnecessary use of branding. https://t.co/gwxJ9kCwOy even if it wasn’t worst that should happen is he’s sent home temporarily to get a new bag.
@brassoteach I went for a run, sat down with a coffee and played with a VR set. No small shrilling voices, no shuffling bums, nobody needing to the toilet, no impending SATs, reports, parents evenings…
I feel this is better.
@EducatingJess @Sue_Cowley As a parent that was crippled by nursery costs the one advantage of compulsory education is not having to pay for it. And to be honest I think there are bigger fish to fry than starting age…
@harman_geoff@NewbieSlt Or even why uniforms have to include blazers. Why cannot they be hard wearing cheap trousers (aka jeans) and simple comfortable cheap tops (aka plain t-shirts). You could have a uniform for £15. My wife just spent £127 and hasn’t got trousers or shirts yet.
Oooher. We’d better let @edfenergy know that their nuclear power station staff aren’t professional - better get some professionals in there running things stat. Will save energy bills too if we don’t have to pay them overtime.
@jimmy_viz @LeavingPlanet @laprofepecosa Teachers aren't the only people who who outside of hours. The definition of a professional is one who works to fit the job. We don't get overtime because we are professional. It's always been usual to use some holiday to tidy and sort and then some to plan and organise..
I was really impressed with how @bhx_official dealt with 🌻 hidden disabilities on the way out. Seems that they don’t count on the way back when it’s late at night. Mine didn’t get the memo though…
