ISLAMABAD: A video recorded by a citizen at McDonald's F-9 Islamabad is circulating on social media, with the individual alleging that cleanliness standards at the restaurant were not being properly maintained. The citizen claimed that flies were repeatedly landing on food and that staff members could be seen attempting to shoo them away during the recording.
The citizen has appealed to the Islamabad District Administration and Islamabad Food Authority to inspect such establishments and ensure that food is served in a clean and hygienic environment. No official response from the restaurant or relevant authorities was immediately available regarding the allegations.

Islamabad: The district administration has demolished two shops allegedly built on graveyard land in Sohan during an anti-encroachment operation led by the Assistant Commissioner Nilore. ISLAMABAD: A citizen has appealed to IG Islamabad to take notice of what he described as restricted public access to a SP Soan Office, according to a video that has gone viral on social media.
In the video, reportedly recorded outside the SP Soan office, the citizen claimed that he had visited the premises to discuss a case but was unable to secure a meeting. He alleged that access was being granted primarily to individuals with personal connections, while ordinary citizens were not being allowed to meet the SP Soan.
The citizen argued that recent public engagement measures introduced by DIG Islamabad were aimed at ensuring greater accessibility of police officers to the public. He maintained that senior officers’ offices should remain open to all citizens without discrimination.
Calling for action, the citizen urged IG Islamabad to investigate the matter and ensure that members of the public can meet officers regarding their concerns and complaints without unnecessary obstacles.

ISLAMABAD: A video allegedly filmed inside Shams Colony Police Station has surfaced, showing a detainee restrained with chains inside an investigation room. The footage also appears to show a private individual recording videos near the detainee, raising questions about conduct inside the police station.
Taking notice of the incident, Islamabad Police said DIG Islamabad has ordered an inquiry and directed SSP Operations to ascertain the facts. According to the police spokesperson, SP Industrial Area is conducting a detailed investigation. Islamabad Police stated that it believes in accountability and that action will be taken in light of the inquiry findings.

Islamabad: A retired Federal Police sub-inspector was arrested yesterday after allegedly shooting his wife dead during a domestic dispute at their residence in Ghouri Town. ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has finalized comprehensive security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, deploying more than 15,000 personnel from Islamabad Police and Rangers for the security of 177 processions and 929 religious gatherings across the capital.
A central control room has been established at Safe City Headquarters, while over 3,000 cameras and drones will monitor processions and gatherings. Islamabad Police have arrested three suspects, including a former police official, for allegedly attempting to abduct a foreign couple in I-9 Markaz. She directed strict action against lane violations, one-way violations, mobile phone use while driving, seat belt violations, underage driving, illegal number plates, wheelies and drifting. The new CTO emphasized that improving traffic discipline, ensuring smooth traffic flow and providing better commuting facilities for citizens will remain top priorities of Islamabad Traffic Police.
