My name is Kaylynne, Im 22 & I have been battling with Interstitial Cystitis for years. I want to bring awareness and talk to others about this Chronic Illness

Scent free epsom salt baths are a great way to lower the intensity of flares, while also giving yourself a moment to relax! Especially if you’re waiting for pain meds to kick in, by the time your bath is over it’ll be game over for IC Flares 💪🏻

Friendly reminder, that a sudden increase of looking bloated in the abdomen is normal when you have IC!It’s actually nicknamed “IC Belly”

Every employer is different with their options, usually the paper work has to be filled out with a doctor. Sometimes you can get permissions to bring extra things to work to accommodate your comfortability. Make sure you work with a doctor that knows about your flare ups and pain

If you’re struggling with flare ups during work, and you have not already checked out for ADA I recommend this so much! ADA can accommodate help for flare ups during work. Whether it be needing extra breaks, or having to be able to take off work early/miss a day.

@pulte I haven’t been able to work due to the covid crises, and my bills are still coming in. I can’t afford the medication I need for my bladder disease, and my phone bill. $200 would get me by, to get me out of negative, pay my phone bill, and my medication 🤝 $kaylynneink

@SheaSerrano @venmo I’ve been out of work for 3 weeks, due to being sick without answers. I’m an insurance agent for our military members with USAA. I have had swollen tonsils and can barely talk. Doctors are focusing on the corona virus, so answers have been pushed back. It feels like I’m drowning.

@junebugstreet That’s how my disgnoses went as well! The regular doctor kept saying from my symptoms (though no bacteria in urine) I was just having reoccurring UTI’s. Until I went to a Urologist and ran the tests. That’s crazy, I wish you the best of luck. if you have any questions I’m here 😊
