La Résistance iranienne, qui œuvre depuis près de cinquante ans pour la liberté et la paix, accueille favorablement tout accord visant à mettre fin à la guerre et aux souffrances du peuple iranien. En Iran, seuls les vestiges des mollahs et du Shah ont souhaité ou souhaitent la guerre.

La recherche d'armes nucléaires, les bellicismes et l'ingérence dans les affaires des pays de la région font partie de la stratégie de survie du fascisme religieux qui gouverne l'Iran, et ce régime ne l'abandonnera pas tant qu'il le pourra. La guerre est le bouclier de ce régime contre les soulèvements populaires, tandis que la paix et un cessez-le-feu sont, comme l'a dit Khomeiny, un « poison » pour lui. Le renversement du régime est du ressort du peuple iranien et de sa Résistance organisée.

The Iranian Resistance, which for nearly five decades has sought freedom and peace, welcomes any understanding to end the war and the suffering of the Iranian people. In Iran, no one except the remnants of the mullahs and the Shah has wanted or wants war.

The effort to produce nuclear weapons, warmongering, and meddling in the countries of the region are part of the survival strategy of the religious fascism ruling Iran, and it will not abandon them as long as it can. War is this regime’s shield against popular uprisings, while peace and a ceasefire are, as Khomeini put it, like “poison” for it. The overthrow of the regime is the responsibility of the Iranian people and their organized Resistance.

Mrs. Rajavi added: I reiterate once again that any international agreement to end the war must include an end to the execution of political prisoners and the killing of protesters.

La disparition du professeur Jean Ziegler, conscience éveillée de l’humanité contemporaine, penseur éminent, défenseur infatigable de la liberté et des droits humains, et grand ami de la Résistance iranienne, est une perte immense. J’adresse mes sincères condoléances à tous les défenseurs de la liberté, au peuple suisse, ainsi qu’à son épouse bien-aimée Erika, à sa famille et à tous ceux qui lui étaient chers.

Jean Ziegler était un nom et un visage familiers pour l’ensemble du peuple iranien. Pendant cinquante-cinq ans, y compris dans les circonstances les plus complexes, il a partagé les épreuves et les aspirations des Moudjahidine du peuple et de la Résistance iranienne. Les efforts précieux et déterminants qu’il a mené aux côtés du Pr Kazem Radjavi pour obtenir la libération de son frère Massoud et le sauver de la peine de mort dans les années 1970 demeurent à jamais gravés dans l’histoire et la mémoire du peuple iranien.

Ce qui nous apporte aujourd’hui quelque réconfort, c’est la certitude que son héritage intellectuel et son engagement demeureront une source d’inspiration pour les générations qui luttent en faveur de la liberté, de la justice et de la dignité humaine.
